Located in the Northern District of Karnataka, it has a primary integrated steel manufacturing unit, with a 22 MW captive power plant (WHRB), steel melting shop with LRF (Ladle Refining Furnace), DRI (Direct Reduction of Iron) and re-rolling mill. Bellary is also known as the steel city of India because of the availability of Iron Ore. The unit covers around 131 acres of land. With a capacity of 1,00,000 M.T.P.A. of Sponge Iron, 1,80,000 M.T.P.A. of MS Billet, 2,00,000 M.T.P.A. of HR coil, and 1,20,000 M.T.P.A of MS Pipes.
